SATURDAY night's clash between St Kilda and Collingwood at the MCG looms as the weekend’s blockbuster, with the AFL on target for a potential full house should tickets continue to sell at their current rate.

The League announced ticket sales for this weekend's semi-finals on Wednesday and, as anticipated, the encounter between the two Melbourne-based clubs will be the hot ticket in town during week two of the finals.

The winner will meet Hawthorn in a preliminary final.

Ticket sales for Saturday night had reached 57,636 at 5pm. With further strong sales expected in the coming days – as well as a walk-up crowd – the MCG could be at capacity.

There are still plenty of tickets available for Friday night's second semi-final between the Western Bulldogs and the Sydney Swans, with the sides playing for a spot in a preliminary final against minor premier Geelong.

However, the Swans are certain to run out in front of a bigger crowd than last week’s elimination final win over North Melbourne, with 34,082 tickets already purchased.

Tickets for the 2008 Toyota AFL Finals Series are available through Ticketmaster.
