BRISBANE defender Alex Witherden will miss the final round of the season after hurting his left hamstring in the opening quarter of Saturday night's match against Gold Coast.
The NAB AFL Rising Star hopeful suffered the injury in innocuous fashion, slowly backpedalling to take a mark before immediately began hobbling.

He limped from the field and shortly after attempted some run-through around the boundary line but was in clear pain.
The 19-year-old took no further part in the game and coach Chris Fagan confirmed post-match he would not play next week.
Alongside Collingwood's Jaidyn Stephenson and Adelaide Tom Doedee, Witherden is fancied to be right in the running for the Rising Star award.
Prior to the Suns match, the young Victorian had played 19 games and averaged 24 disposals this season.
