SYDNEY has sharpened its wrestling skills under the tutelage of US Olympic gold medallist Helen Maroulis.
The Swans were shown a range of wrestling tactics on Wednesday that could translate onto the football field.
Maroulis, who stands at just 160cm, became the first American to win a gold medal in women's freestyle wrestling when she triumphed at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
The Swans are in good shape heading into 2018 with the bulk of the list back in training, including veterans Jarrad McVeigh and Kieren Jack.
Unlike last year when a a group of players were all in rehab, ruckman Kurt Tippett is the only long-term concern after undergoing ankle surgery post-season.
