great to see Michael Wilson still dominating for the mighty Power. he was brilliant today and he’s been good in the other games this year too. I know you’re not allowed to have favourites when you’re the coach but he must really impress you!?
harry

MARK WILLIAMS: Well I might not be allowed to have favourites but as you may or may not know I did wear No. 21 at Port Adelaide! Look, obviously he epitomizes all the great things about Port Adelaide. He carries forward our tradition and our culture and we’re so pleased that he’s playing so well.

Hi Mark. Can I just say I think you’re fantastic and sorry to hear you say your mum’s not well but like you said that win would have made her feel great! Onto my spiel... I love seeing our guys sing the song after the game (nothing worse than when the TVs cut it out). Sometimes it’s really enthusiastic but sometimes it seems like they’re going through the motions a bit. I have to say that after the Freo game and then again yesterday – they were about as passionate as they’ve ever been. I think Peter Burgoyne was even jumping up and down at the start of it! There must be a really good feeling among the players.
Sue McIntyre

MARK WILLIAMS: Over the recent past we’ve won a lot of games and maybe it does get a bit ho hum but it’s all been renewed again. You can see the energy and excitement among the group. Beating Fremantle at the start of the year when we were away from home and hardly have anyone cheering for you, that really binds the guys close together. Then again on Saturday – coming from behind against Collingwood at the MCG in wet conditions with not too many picking us – it was a great result. Obviously the players appreciate the efforts each other puts in. It was a special time.

What a fantastic team win! The Burgoyne and Cornes brothers are legends of the game, but I would like to know what you thought of Greg Bentley's efforts? I thought he had a brilliant game.
Wayne Pengilly

MARK WILLIAMS: Greg’s coming along quite nicely. We thought he did a real team role. We think he’s got a fair way to go but he’s moving in the right direction like a lot of our young players.

Hi Choco, Chaplin has disappeared over the last couple of weeks. Is he injured, or have gameday matchups not suited him? Great win on the weekend, one of the best games I have watched!
Jason

MARK WILLIAMS: Darryl Wakelin came back into the side to play on taller, stronger players so partly it had to do with that. If Troy was in sparkling form he’d still be in the side. He has been playing for Sturt over the past two weeks.

GO POWER !!!!!!!!!!!! do u think u will get to the finals?
nicki ellis

MARK WILLIAMS: It would be nice to think so but it’s miles away yet. We’ve got so much work to do and so much to learn, so all we’re focusing on is doing those things. If we can get that right the results will take care of themselves.

You went in to the game with only one ruckman. Was that a tough decision and how did you review it?
T. Goodman

MARK WILLIAMS: Sitting here on Monday after the game it’s easy to say ‘yes we did the right thing’ but certainly on Thursday and Friday it took a lot of discussion as to which way we were going to go. Fabian Deluca and Jon Giles have been doing pretty good. Gilesy didn’t play (in the SANFL) on the weekend but Deluca was probably best on ground and had a great game (for Sturt) so that really adds to his chances. I thought Toby Thurstans (as makeshift back-up ruckman) played particularly well. He also gave us some time in the forward and backlines so it was great to have that versatility with him. In the end, we won, we did the right thing but next time we hope to pick the right way again.
