North Melbourne is keeping postmen around the country busy with delivery of the True North yearbook to 2010 members taking place over the next week.
The bumper edition features in-depth season reviews on every player, club history and a feature story on the future leaders of the playing group by award-winning journalist Damian Barrett.
The magazine has caused some controversy however after Jack Ziebell, Sam Wright and Ben Warren opened their doors for the ever-popular ‘At home with’ column. Wright said Ben Warren was seething at his housemates after seeing an early proof of the magazine.
“He is really unhappy,” Wright said. “He actually isn’t speaking to Jack at the moment and it is quite awkward around the house.”
Fortunately the three housemates have plenty of time to patch up their differences as they are among the group of players due to board a Qantas jet on Friday morning bound for a three week high-altitude training camp in Utah.
2010 members (other than Roo for Life members) will also receive their renewal forms in the mail and Chief Executive Eugene Arocca urged them to join up early.
“We have made a number of alterations to the price and structure of packages and have received great feedback on those changes and the Ignite campaign thus far,” Arocca said.
“We’re aiming for 15,000 members by December 15th and we are confident that we’ll get there. It is an exciting time for our club and we are doing everything we can to make re-joining as a member as simple and enjoyable as possible.”
