An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record.
Other Incidents Assessed:
The match day report against Collingwood's Leon Davis for making forceful contact from front-on against Essendon's Jobe Watson during Saturday's match was assessed. It was the view of the panel the contact was not forceful. Contact was caused by circumstances outside player Davis' control in that he was pushed from behind. No further action was taken.
The match day report against Collingwood's Alan Didak for striking Essendon's Henry Slattery during Saturday's match was assessed. It was the view of the panel that Didak made high contact with Slattery but contact was with a pushing motion, and not a strike. The impact was below that required to constitute a report. No further action was taken.
The match day report against Essendon's Scott Lucas for striking Collingwood's Harry O'Brien during Saturday's match was assessed. It was the view of the panel the contact was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
The match day report against Port Adelaide's Nick Lower for making forceful contact from front-on against Fremantle's Brett Peake during Sunday's game was assessed. It was the view of the panel that Lower approached the contest bent down and with his right hand down in an effort to gain control of the ball. Although Lower did make high contact with Peake, he had no realistic alternative way to contest the ball. No further action was taken.
The match day report against Melbourne's Lynden Dunn for striking North Melbourne's Brent Harvey during Sunday's match was assessed. It was the view of the panel the impact was below that required to constitute a reportable offence. No further action was taken.
