Our Irish recruit Tommy Walsh has been improving solidly all year and continues to put in strong performances for Sandringham in the VFL each week.
Tommy has held his spot in the Sandringham senior side all year clocking up 17 games playing in a variety of positions, but predominantly in the backline. He has also been rotated through the forward line on occasion and has kicked 6 goals this season.
His kicking and decision making has improved throughout the year and Tommy has shown his body can handle the demands of AFL football. It has certainly been a steady first year for someone who is still learning the game.
We all eagerly anticipate his work over the summer and are hopeful he will come into contention for the St Kilda senior side in the coming years.
