It may have been a cold and windy day at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, but it couldn't stop the fun for 400 children who attended the game as part of LeasePlan's Carn the Kids program. North Melbourne's win helping cap off a day to remember.

Kangaroos players Shannon Watt and Ben Warren handed out showbags filled with goodies, signed t-shirts and participated in handball drills with the excited youngsters as they made their way into the ground.

The kids even played a starring role at half-time, a sea of white Carn the Kids t-shirts surrounding boundary rider Rohan Smith on Fox Sports' television coverage.

So far this season, Carn the Kids and North Melbourne have provided over 1000 children with the chance to enjoy a special day at the footy.

The Carn the Kids program has been supported over the years through partnerships with the Western Bulldogs, Melbourne Victory and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra – and now the North Melbourne Football Club.

These partnerships and the event opportunities they create have allowed more than 14,000 kids and carers to attend more than 30 ‘fun days out’ all around Australia.
