PAUL Roos predicts Barry Hall will return to the Swans side for the round 12 clash against St Kilda.

Hall broke his wrist against the West Coast Eagles in round four after charging into an advertising hoarding at ANZ stadium.

“We're really positive at this stage. It's all gearing up well. Next Monday he gets his [wrist] pin out which is a minor operation,” Roos said on Wednesday.

“At this stage the bone is healing really well. We expect him to play against St Kilda.”

The Swans play Hall's former club on Saturday June 14 at the SCG, adding even more spice to his return.

“Obviously there is two-and-a-half weeks to go and he needs to get through training in terms of handling the ball but it seems to be healing fine.”

Hall has trained with the cast on over the last few weeks, with Roos confident that his big forward's fitness won't be far off when he returns.

The Swans' forward structure, nevertheless, has continued to function well in Hall's absence, a fact star forward Michael O'Loughlin noted.

“We certainly miss him [Hall] and he's a great player. We certainly play better with him in the side.

“But Henry Playfair has been fantastic with his big body and is able to take that extra tall and he's played well in the last couple of games.”

In more good news for the Swans, Tadhg Kennelly is expected to be available for selection against the Tigers this Sunday.

“He pulled up well yesterday, and we are looking for him to do some running today and train on Friday,” said Roos.

Kennelly dislocated his knee against the Bombers in round eight.

“I expect Tadhg at this stage to play but obviously he has to get through training this week.”
