Cat fans heading to the MCG on Friday night for the season opener against the Bombers can drop into the nib marquee, located near Gate 1 at the back of the Ponsford Stand, and get their photo taken with the 2009 AFL Premiership Cup.
It will be the last time the Cup will be on public display before being put behind glass at the Cats’ headquarters at Skilled Stadium.
Cats General Manager of Commercial Operations, David Lever said that nib is providing a unique opportunity that Cats fans shouldn’t miss.
“The AFL Premiership Cup is an icon of our sport and will remain a symbol of triumph from season 2009,” Lever said.
“I encourage all Cats fans to head to the nib marquee at the MCG on Friday night to have their photo taken with the cup and get their hands on this prized possession on last time.”
The 2009 Premiership Cup will be on display from 5.00pm until first bounce.
