Olyroo stars Bruce Djite, Nathan Burns, Kristain Sarkies and goal keeper Danny Vukovic dropped into the Power’s training session at Alberton Oval on Monday.

The Olyroos are in town to play their Olympic qualifying matches in Adelaide and head Port Adelaide fitness coach Darren Burgess is helping with their fitness regime.

Burgo threw down the popular ‘foot juggling’ challenge with a Sherrin, to players from both codes but senior coach Mark Williams also wanted to be part of the action.

Choco lined up against Adelaide United striker Bruce Djite and they soon got into a rally, both determined not to lose out. The pair got into such a rhythm that Burgo had to ask them to call it quits.

The Port Adelaide playing group was quick to nominate Peter Hardy and David Rodan to take on their soccer counterparts. Hardy was no match for Wayne Rooney (Manchester United striker) look-alike, Kristian Sarkies. While David Rodan put up a good showing against one of Adelaide United’s favourite sons, Nathan Burns.

The Olyroos face Iran on Wednesday in a crunch match. The winner, will more than likely progress to the final qualifying stage for the Beijing Olympics.

After their session with the Power, the Olyroos presented Mark Williams and Chad Cornes with an Australian soccer shirt. Choco, who hopes to be pitch side on Wednesday, wished them all the best on behalf of the Power squad.
