Young Swan Jed Lamb - the Swans first pick in the 2010 National Draft - has described his debut match as a dream come true.

Lamb was among a host of young Swans, including Luke Parker, Lewis Johnston and Dylan McNeil, to debut in the Swans round one NAB Cup matches, against the GWS Giants and Gold Coast Suns at Blacktown Olympic Park on Saturday night.

An excited Lamb, spoke to SwansTV about the memorable occasion, in the Swans change room after the match.

“It was a dream come true to be honest, to put on the red and white jumper for the first time was a great feeling, and so was running out with the boys,” he said.

“Obviously it’s good to get a bit of game experience under my belt, to see the quality of the AFL players and the gut running and things like that,” Lamb said.

Despite limited game time, Lamb showed great poise to boot an important goal for the Swans in the match against the Gold Coast Suns.

“I was pretty happy just to get a kick actually. It was good to see it go through.

“I knew it was going to be hard and physical with a lot of hard running, and obviously it lived up to that," he said.

Lamb’s sister and two nephews - Jordan and Oakley - travelled by train from Yarram in country Victoria, to see him run out in the red and white for the first time.
