NORTH Melbourne is expecting a quiet trade week, with coach Brad Scott dismissing speculation Lachie Hansen and Matt Campbell will find new football homes this week.

Small forward Campbell has recently been linked with Hawthorn, having kicked five goals against the Hawks in round 20 at Aurora Stadium, while Hansen, the No. 3 pick in the 2006 NAB AFL Draft, has been raised generally as possible trade bait in some reports.

But Scott told AFL.com.au's Trade Week Radio Campbell and Hansen were required players and would not be leaving Aegis Park.

"Matty's a really important part of our plans and he's expressed his desire to stay at North Melbourne," Scott said.

Similarly, Scott said Hansen's name had not been raised in any of North's preliminary trade talks.

More generally, Scott did not anticipate much Kangaroos player movement.

"Usually we come in with a fair idea of what's happening and no one has expressed a desire to leave North Melbourne to me and no other clubs have really expressed a great desire for our players." Scott said.

No trades are official until paperwork has been accepted by the AFL and formally recognised after 2pm on Monday, October 17.
