Jason McCartney says: I saw some similarities between Kade and Jack Ziebell in that he has some really good leadership qualities as well. He reads the play well and has that ability to cut off the lead of the opposition and take the mark and, more often than not, he uses the footy well on the way out. He's a good inside player and he had a really consistent year.

In his own words
What sort of player are you?
I’m a half-back flanker who likes to zone off a bit. I like to run off and get the handball receives, so I try to work forward as well as defensively.
Strengths?
Judging the ball. I read the play pretty well.
Weaknesses?
I could work on everything, but probably my kicking and being a bit more accountable at times.
Which AFL team do you support?
Sydney Swans; the whole family pretty much follows them except for Dad who barracks for Carlton.
Which AFL player do you feel you most resemble?
I base myself on Nathan Bock a bit … someone said I look a bit like him, too.
