The Brisbane Lions A.F.C, arguably the AFL's most successful team and brand over the last decade, is seeking to appoint a talented and dedicated Sponsorship Manager to become a valued member of their team. The Brisbane Lions A.F.C has diverse service offerings, an ever increasing profile and strong brand.
Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services you are directly responsible for the acquisition, service and fulfilment of the club’s sponsors. To secure this fantastic role you will have proven experience in:

- Sales and sponsorship acquisition
- Relationship management in a Business to Business environment
- Identifying brand development and leverage opportunities
- Managing and developing a winning team
- Developing innovative and targeted sponsorship strategies
You will have strong relationship management skills, excellent face to face business presentation and a high level of sales, negotiation and management ability. Current experience in the corporate sponsorship, combined with tertiary qualifications in business or marketing related fields, is preferred.

A competitive salary is on offer for the successful candidate. General business hours will be from 8:30am - 5:00pm Mon -Fri, however match day participation will be required.

Reporting to the Corporate Sales Manager, you will be required to grow and develop our Corporate Hospitality business through cold calling and converting opportunities to meet and exceed business objectives. The Corporate Sales Executive will have the confidence and drive to hunt for new business opportunities whilst being proactive in chasing leads and referrals.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1 Establishing relationships with corporates to increase sales revenue and the membership base
2 Working with the Corporate Sales Manager to develop and implement the strategic sales plan
3 Targeting opportunities to maximise ROI from corporate hospitality initiatives
4 Identifying new and innovative opportunities for online and offline advertising
5 Monitoring sales on a daily, weekly and monthly basis against budget
6 Working with the wider Sales team to implement promotional programs
7 Providing monthly sales reports to the Senior Management Team
8 Delivering a consistent and quality level of service in order to maximise customer satisfaction and repeat sales

You will be able to demonstrate a successful track record in business development and/or sales management within a B2B sales environment. Your ability to establish strong working relationships together with your credibility to build rapport and gain trust with people at all levels is paramount to your success in this position. You will possess the flair and motivation to open new doors and pursue profitable business opportunities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for securing this challenging and rewarding position. The role may suit somebody who has successful experience in a telesales or cold calling environment. Exposure to the Brisbane corporate market is highly advantageous.
