MICK Malthouse has declared his record-breaking coaching journey is over after Carlton sacked him on Tuesday.
His coaching career, that began in 1984, will end on 718 games coached and three premierships claimed.

The 61-year-old said he held no ill-feeling towards Carlton and wished the team well for the remainder of 2015.
Malthouse, who set a new record for most games coached three weeks ago, said he looked forward to watching the game from afar and enjoying the spare time he has now with his family.
He said he held no grudges and had no regrets and even joked that the media might miss him given that their relationship has been adversarial for much of his career.
"To the media, I wish you well - despite our constant battlefield......you might even miss me!" he said in a statement.
Malthouse has only spent one year not coaching or playing since he made his debut for St Kilda in 1972.
