AN UNSCHEDULED stopover in Broome by the NAB 150 tour has proved to be a wild success.

On a recent outing to Broome, Western Australia, several officers encountered Broome Sport and Recreation Club Development Officer Rod McGrath, who suggested an impromptu Auskick clinic the following day.

The tour members arrived at St Mary's College oval the following morning to be greeted by a swarm of eager young footballers.

Slowly but surely the Auskickers from around the area arrived and by 8am the Clinic was in full swing with the Hand Ball target and Big Kick activities added into the normal rotating exercises of a standard weekend clinic.

It was a fantastic morning. They held the presentation in front of the AFL truck and we gave away stickers, tattoos, and a couple of balls and t-shirts as prizes.

Many of the parents were delighted at the spontaneous clinic and the officers were gobsmacked to see the turnout with more than 160 kids and parents to match participating in such a great program.
