Do you have any pre-game superstitions?
I just like to listen to my i-pod and I don’t like to talk to anyone until about 15 minutes before the game. I listen to a bit of ‘Holy Grail’ and ‘When September Comes’- you know those ‘fire-up’ songs.

What was the last text message you received?
It was probably from Ed Curnow asking if I want to have a hit of golf. I never reply to those ones because I can’t play to save myself. Ed is alright though.

What is your favourite football memory?
Winning the under 18 grand final last year. It’s something that not everyone gets to do. It was just players from everywhere playing in the one team. I’ll probably have memories of winning that forever. I think 13 of us got drafted last year, so we’ll never all play together again.

What is your favourite item of clothing?
My hat. I wear it a fair bit.

What song would you sing at karaoke?
I’d sing Robbie Williams’ ‘Angels’.

What’s the best thing about living in Adelaide?
Everyone is so nice and has made me feel welcome right from the word go. I haven’t had any problems here at all.

Who did you barrack for as a kid?
I was actually a Collingwood supporter. I was shattered this year because I wanted Adelaide to win [the elimination final], but some part of you wants Collingwood to still win!

What is your favourite sport outside of footy?
Cricket. I don’t mind having a hit and I probably will through the pre-season. I played state under 16s, but it was too hard with footy.

What are you looking forward to doing over the break?
I’m just looking forward to seeing my mates and my family. I’m pretty close to my older brother, Brad. I wouldn’t mind getting away for a couple of days, but mainly I just want to see my family - I’ve only seen them four times this year.
