The Sydney Swans are pleased to welcome Kinnear Beatson to the club in the newly created position of Manager - Player Acquisition.Andrew Ireland – General Manager Football said; “Kinnear comes to the club with a tremendous CV which will see him further enhance our recruiting.“Stuart Maxfield (Manager Player Personnel) and Rick Barham (Recruiting Consultant) during the year undertook to review our recruiting and made recommendations which they believed would take the recruiting to another level.“This involved finding the right person to head up Player Acquisitions, and certainly in Kinnear I believe we have the right man.”Kinnear Beatson was the long time recruiting manager of the Brisbane Lions, spending 12 years with the club before last year working as player recruiting consultant for the Adelaide Crows.“Certainly it’s exciting to be working with what is an extremely professional club and I’m very much looking forward to the challenge,” Beatson said.
