Why did you want to become involved with East Coast Eagles?

It was my local senior club when I grew up, back in the days when they were called the Baulkham Hills Falcons

What is it like playing AFL in a state which traditionally follows NRL?

I remember copping a lot of lip when I was at school, but it’s become a popular choice of sport for people, especially kids.

Do you think interest in AFL is growing in NSW?

Definitely. There was a surge after the Swans played in the ’96 GF and an even bigger surge in popularity after 2005. Sydneysiders love a winner...

What is your relationship like with your East Coast teammates?

Very good. We are fortunate that we don’t have any genuine idiots amongst the group, everyone gets on really well.

Who is your fiercest rival in the NSWAFL competition?

It would have to be Pennant Hills, from way back when the two clubs were started, only a suburb or two away from each other.

If you could recruit one AFL star to play with East Coast who would it be and why?

Dean Cox could probably get a run with us, starting in a forward pocket...

If you could invite one AFL coach to dinner who would it be?

I was always a fan of Michael Voss as a player and he seems to be doing well as a coach.

How successful have you been in recruiting locals to participate in AFL?

The local junior competition is very strong and we have had a lot of those juniors come through to play senior football. We have had a few locals who have seen the goal posts at our new ground come down to watch and some have pulled on the boots.

What are you expecting for season 2010?

Nothing short of another premiership!
