They've won seven in a row and tomorrow come up against cellar dwellers Frankston at Eastern Oval in a match that on paper should be an easy victory. However North Ballarat will be without key forward Corey Jones for the clash after he was named in the Kangaroos' side for their game in Adelaide on Sunday.

Jones and the in-form Michael Wundke have booted 34 goals between them this season and their partnership will be missed by the Roosters, but the scenario could pave the way for a big goal haul from teammate Josh Smith.

Smith was kept goalless last week, but has kicked sixteen for the season and will be working hard to be promoted after some solid performances for North Melbourne early in the season.

Also missing from the North Ballarat line-up will be exciting midfielder Cruise Garlett who has also been called-up to the Kangaroos outfit.

Garlett has averaged over 20 possessions a game in the past month, and the likes of Tom Roach and Myles Sewell will be left to fill the breach left by his absence.

North Melbourne rookie Marcus White will again be given an opportunity through the midfield after another impressive performance in last week's win over Coburg, while Warren Benjamin gets another chance after being omitted from the Roosters' seniors last week.

Midfielder Liam Anthony will be the player to watch for North Melbourne supporters as he quickly gains a reputation as a handy ball winner.

The former East Fremantle recruit was the star of the Kangaroos' pre-season campaign and would have debuted in Round 1, if not for a foot injury. He had 15 possessions in his return for North Ballarat's seniors last week and looks close to another chance at AFL level in the coming weeks.
