Brad Fisher will be sidelined for up to four weeks with a fractured cheekbone sustained during yesterday’s match against West Coast in Perth.
As a precautionary measure it was decided he should not fly so Fisher was unable to return to Melbourne with the rest of the team after the game.
He and the Club Doctor stayed in Perth overnight and the scans Fisher had in Perth this morning revealed the small fractures to his cheekbone.
The medical team cleared Fisher to fly and he returned to Melbourne this afternoon and will have surgery later this week.
