ANOTHER week, another loss to Boaky and another turn at kitchen duties on Monday night; this time I actually cooked.

Enough is enough and I’ve bitten the bullet on a couple of trades to get my season back on track.

Out go Cameron Hitchcock and Darren Jolly, in come Aaron Sandilands and Tom Rockliff. With Hitchy’s injury I thought it was time to cash in and bring in a player who is ‘on the bubble’ and should skyrocket in price. Rockliff looked good here at AAMI Stadium and backed it up against the Dogs in Round 4.

My rucks have been killing me and it was time to bring in the big unit from the west. He’s been tearing it up averaging over 100 points per game and given the fact he’s almost a certainty to get 40 hitouts each week, I don’t see that output dropping.

Rockliff was one of two cheap forwards on the bubble I had to choose between and I think there will be plenty of you fantasy coaches out there in the same boat. James Podsiadly is the other one who many will be contemplating this week and at just $77,800 I can see why!

I chose Rockliff for two reasons. The first being that he spends plenty of time in the midfield for the Lions and has added some real grunt to their rotations, so I can’t see him getting dropped any time soon. The second is that I can’t see Podsiadly kicking five goals each week as he did last weekend. He’ll certainly kick a couple each week, but I’m not confident he’ll be able to keep that output up for long.

Over the next seven rounds or so, you want to be making some big changes to your Dream Team and start bringing in some big guns. Look out for some high-priced, high-scoring players who have an off round and plummet in price. Ryan Hargrave is a classic example after his score of 9 in round 3. He’s already come down more than $100,000 and will drop more this week. Could be a very cheap upgrade option over the next three weeks.

Finally, congratulations to Tory Minervini whose team Lazy T scored to top the Official Pizza Hut Power Dream Team Group for Round 4. Tory will be able to enjoy a week’s worth of pizza thanks to Pizza Hut.
