The Coffs Harbour Swans is affiliated with the North Coast AFL and are seeking expressions of interest for coaching positions for First Grade, Reserve grade and Under 18’s for the 2012 season. Our committee is also interested in attracting new players to the area, who we can help with employment.
Coffs Harbour is halfway between Sydney and Brisbane and will be a breeding ground for the newly formed Gold Coast AFL team and the Greater Western Sydney team. Coffs Harbour has fantastic facilities and world class amenities including Southern Cross University, shopping centres, hospitals, public transport, magnificent beaches for use all year round.
The Coffs Harbour Airport has daily flights to Sydney and Brisbane as well as weekly flights to Melbourne.
The Coffs Swans are very competitive and have made the finals for the past decade, winning our last senior premiership in 1999 and finishing runner up numerous times since then. Our Under 18’s have played in 4 grand finals 2006-2009 winning 2 of those. In season 2011 we had all three grades make it to the first semi, although unfortunately came up short. The Swans have a change of committee this year and we will be chanelling all our energies into the 2012 season and our senior coaches will play a major role in the development of our immense junior talent.
Our junior swans made it to the grand finals in both the under 13’s and under 15’s.
Our under 13’s were successful in winning their third title in a row and the 15’s came runners up.
