Jason Roe (hamstring), Nigel Lappin (thigh) and Robert Copeland (hip) have all been named in the side despite suffering minor injuries against the Hawks.
Lions ruckman Jamie Charman will remain on the sidelines this week as he recovers from Achilles tendonitis.
Michael Voss will officially farewell the Gabba crowd in a ceremony that will commence at approximately 7:15pm. Voss will parade the ground on foot with his children as a mark of respect for his throngs of Lions fans.
Coincidentally, Voss played his final AFL match against St Kilda on Saturday 2 September last year at the Gabba before surprising the football world when he announced his retirement a month later.
This week’s match will be the third year in a row that the Lions have met St Kilda on Easter Thursday. In their two previous meetings on Easter Thursday, the Lions and St Kilda have had one win each.
Jonathan Brown has only played in one of the Lions’ past four matches against St Kilda – when he was one of the Lions’ best players in the Easter Thursday clash with St Kilda at Telstra Dome last year.
HEAD TO HEAD
The Brisbane Lions have won 12 of their 19 matches against St Kilda for a winning percentage of 63 per cent.
The Lions have lost their past three regular season matches against St Kilda by an average of 76 points.
