Dual Geelong premiership star Max Rooke will be recognised ahead of Sunday’s clash with Port Adelaide with a lap of honour.
Rooke, who will also attend the club’s match day function, will go around Skilled Stadium at 1:40pm, before the game with the Power.
The popular Rooke was a key member of the Cats 2007 and 2009 premiership teams. He returned to the line up for the 2007 finals series after being limited to just five games in the home & away season.
Rooke’s greatest game may have been the 2009 grand final. He booted the first and last goals of the game and also delivered a key behind late in the contest that saw the Cats stretch their lead to seven points in time on.
He was forced into retirement after last season due to a knee injury. Overall he played 135 games in the navy & white hoops and booted 58 goals.
