Hogan contract demand scares Freo
Melbourne forward Jesse Hogan asking for an eight-year deal was the reason Fremantle said it was pulling out of the race for the star, Fox Sports reports.
Hogan apparently wanted $8 million over that time but it was the length of the commitment, rather than the financial terms, which caused the Dockers to baulk.

According to Channel Seven however, Fremantle could yet restart its bid to recruit the 23-year-old.
The Dockers met with Hogan last Saturday, The Age says.
Melbourne reportedly wants picks No.5, 23 and 30 in this year's NAB AFL Draft for Hogan.

No.5 is currently at Brisbane but the Dockers could acquire it if they let Lachie Neale leave for the Lions.
Collingwood's offer for Beams
The Magpies put their No.18 Draft pick and a second-round selection from next year on the table for Brisbane star Dayne Beams, The Age reports.
According to the report, a deal is expected to be done by Wednesday's deadline, despite Beams being contracted until the end of 2020.
