RICHMOND forward Shane Edwards will miss Sunday's clash versus Port Adelaide in Mount Gambier due to illness.
The 28-year-old played in the Tigers' opening JLT Community Series game last week but will miss with a virus. Connor Menadue and Nathan Broad were also named as emergencies.
Three-time All Australian Alex Rance was selected in the side after overcoming hamstring tendinitis.
Port Adelaide's Nathan Krakouer was left out of the side. He will miss round one after he copped a suspension for a high hit on St Kilda defender Sean Dempster last Thursday.
Jake Neade won't play after he was also left out against the Saints, while Will Snelling was the other Power player to miss out.
