WITH three rounds left until finals in most AFL Fantasy Classic leagues, it’s all systems go to make the top eight.

Our trades are more important than ever, so be sure to tune in and fire away some questions this evening, and the boys will do their best to get to as many as they can.

The big news this week is the injury to Gary Ablett (MID, $521,000) and no doubt that will generate a lot of discussion around the best replacements. 

Roy has done his homework in this department and has rated the best players to bring in for coaches who are a bit cash strapped and can only grab someone of equal or lesser value.

We have the added bonus of a loophole captaincy option for Thursday night's game, so with the Hawks and Swans doing battle, it would be rare for a team not to have a worthy candidate to carry the VC, with the likes of Jordan Lewis (MID, $541,000), Dan Hannebery (MID, $536,000), Tom Mitchell (MID, $526,000) and the in-form Luke Hodge (MID, $486,000) taking the field.

Just when we thought there was a drought brewing in the rookie department, plenty of players put their hand up last round, and thankfully the Tigers blooded some youth who grabbed the opportunity with both hands with Jason Castagna (DEF, $177,000) and Oleg Markov (FWD, $186,000) doing their job security no harm. 

If you are looking for a downgrade that is still required on your ground, Clay Smith (FWD/MID, $224,000) could be the man after another fiercely competitive game last week and a seemingly soft match-up with the Suns this weekend.
