ADELAIDE captain Rory Sloane has revealed the moment that changed his grieving process following the loss of his stillborn son.
As part of the Amazon Prime Video series Making Their Mark to be released on March 12, Sloane and wife Belinda open up on the months that followed losing son Leo in 2018.
"I struggled really early on with it, but I learnt you could grieve in different ways," Rory said.

"For me, it took me a couple of months. I remember I went for a surf and it was one of the most beautiful moments and it reminded me of Leo.

Watch it NOW"And then I was like, well hang on, this is a really happy moment reminding me of my son and then I started realising you could grieve in a really positive way.
"I started to grieve by finding different, really nice moments in day-to-day life that made me think of Leo. We've got a beautiful boy who we'll certainly remember forever."
The couple shared a day with Leo after they were informed his heart had unexpectedly stopped beating in a moment that would shape their lives forever.

"It sounds so weird, it's such a tough thing to go through, but we wouldn't change it for anything because he's such a big part of our lives even though he's not physically here with us," Belinda said.
"He's taught us so many lessons to be grateful for things in life and he'll always be a part of our family."
The Sloanes welcomed son Sonny in September 2019, and had another child, Bodhi Leo Sloane, in 2020. Rory and Belinda are key figures in the seven-part documentary series to be unveiled later this month.
Amazon cameras followed six clubs throughout the unprecedented 2020 season including Richmond (Damien Hardwick, Peggy O'Neal, Brendon Gale), Gold Coast (Stuart Dew), Greater Western Sydney (Stephen Coniglio), West Coast (Nic Naitanui) and Carlton (Eddie Betts).
