THE EIGHT finalists have emerged from round 23 without suspensions, with Richmond defender Dylan Grimes the only player charged by the Match Review Panel out of round 23.
Grimes accepted a $1000 fine for a high bump on St Kilda forward Josh Bruce, which was graded careless conduct with low impact to the head.
Sydney defender Heath Grundy escaped suspension for a high hit on Carlton forward Levi Casboult and is free to face Essendon in an elimination final at the SCG.
Grundy made high contact with Casboult as the pair came together late in the opening quarter of Saturday's clash at the SCG, with the Carlton forward going to ground and left groggy.
The MRP said Grundy had "braced" for contact as Casboult pushed off him to get separation and make a lead up the ground.
"As Casboult changed direction, he looked to engage his opponent and the pair made contact, with Grundy bracing for the contact," the MRP said in its findings.
"Casboult went to ground but it was the view of the panel the Sydney player’s actions were not unreasonable in the circumstances."
The MRP also assessed an incident between Hawthorn’s Blake Hardwick and Western Bulldogs star Marcus Bontempelli.
It was the view of the Panel that "Hardwick grabbed player Bontempelli by the jumper and shook him. There was no strike to the head/neck region".
With one fine laid, it was the most lenient round of MRP findings for the season.
