Get them in: Versatile big men Darcy Moore and Ben Reid continue to press their cases to return for the preliminary final against Richmond at the MCG on Friday night.

Under the pump: If there are any changes, the likes of Chris Mayne and James Aish could be vulnerable.

Medical room: Moore (hamstring) could finally be passed fit after six weeks on the sidelines, Jordan De Goey (ankle) will play and captain Scott Pendlebury (knee) also appears certain to carry a niggle. However, young midfielder Brayden Sier (thigh) is under a cloud.

Verdict: A fit Moore would likely be seen as worth the risk, given his presence would create a more balanced defence and allow Jeremy Howe to be more attacking. - Ben Collins

Get them in: For the third-straight week, Melbourne is expected to go in with an unchanged lineup. although Joel Smith remains a chance to play, while veteran Bernie Vince returned strongly via the VFL from a shoulder concern. Jayden Hunt, Jay Kennedy Harris, Jeff Garlett and Tim Smith are all around the mark.

Under the pump: Nil.

Medical room: No genuine injury concerns, although Max Gawn, Neville Jetta and Alex Neal-Bullen didn't train on Monday. The club is confident all three will train fully on Wednesday.

Get them in: Brandon Ellis had 24 touches in the VFL side's losing semi-final last week while Connor Menadue had 26. Sam Lloyd and Anthony Miles typically tackled hard while Ryan Garthwaite remains the key defensive replacement if required.

Under the pump: Nathan Broad had three touches against Hawthorn in the first final, following on from the four he had in rounds 22 and 23. Trained cautiously on Monday and may be carrying some soreness.  

Medical room: It's all about 'Dusty watch' at Punt Road with the durable Brownlow medallist on light duties in their last two training sessions. It's suggested he has a knee issue, but the Tigers are adamant he'll play. Daniel Rioli (finger) and Dan Butler (ankle) will be available this week.

Verdict: No change. Broad to hold his spot, Martin/Rioli/Lambert to play, and Butler and B. Ellis to miss out. - Jennifer Phelan

Get them in: The Eagles have lost some key personnel for the season and you can add Brad Sheppard (hamstring) to that list. However, in each case they have had adequate cover, and experienced defender Will Schofield will be a handy replacement if, as expected, he is called up ahead of Jackson Nelson.

Under the pump: The only unforced change likely to be considered is in attack. Do the Eagles want Daniel Venables' speed and pressure, or a mobile tall forward like Oscar Allen or Jake Waterman, who performed well early in the year when Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling were firing?

Medical room: Sheppard joins Nic Naitanui (knee), Andrew Gaff (suspension) and Eric Mackenzie (toes) on the sidelines for the season.

Verdict: Schofield will replace Sheppard. Otherwise the Eagles are settled. - Travis King
