YOUNG Fremantle defender Cameron Sutcliffe has signed a three-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until at least the end of 2018.
The 22-year-old South Australian, who was taken with pick No.71 in the 2011 NAB AFL Draft, said he had always intended to stick with the club.
“We’re obviously building a really strong culture within the group, and I feel with the way the club is heading in an upward direction, that’s something that I want to be involved in," he said.
"I love playing for this club and being in the area of Freo with all the players that we have around us and the coaching staff."
Sutcliffe played every game in 2014, only his third season in the AFL, and finished second amongst Fremantle players for rebound 50s with 75 for the year.
He was also named Fremantle's player of the finals last year and finished seventh in the best and fairest.
