THE PAUL Chapman-driven Geelong pact to never lose to Hawthorn after the 2008 Grand Final has become almost as legendary as the Kennett Curse.
Since that time, Geelong has famously won 11 straight games, with Chapman playing in all bar one of those.
The Match Review Panel meets on Monday to determine Chapman's preliminary final fate against Hawthorn, with his high bump on Port Adelaide's Robbie Gray in the club's semi-final win right under the microscope.
Looking at Chapman's stats, it is clear he has had an impact in every one of those 10 wins over the Hawks. He has kicked goals, won important possessions at crucial times and been relentless when attacking the ball and applying physical pressure.
The Cats veteran has had a season riddled with injury, but there is no doubting his ability to rise to the occasion as a proven big-game performer.
