Hodge will wear number 82 when he runs out for Box Hill in a practice match at Cranbourne.
It will be Hodge's first game for 2013, following knee surgery at the end of last season.
The match, against Melbourne affiliate Casey Scorpions, is set for a 2pm start.
Earlier this week, Hodge conceded he is unlikely to return to AFL action until at least round three.
"We go over to West Coast in round two, and that's probably too big of a ground to come back on, so more likely would be [round] three or four," the 28-year-old said.
