GEELONG midfielder Mitch Duncan has been withdrawn from the team to face Hawthorn on Saturday night in a blow to the Cats' chances against the reigning premier.
Duncan, who has played four games since returning from a two-month foot injury, has been ruled out with a calf problem.
He has been replaced by George Horlin-Smith, with Jared Rivers elevated to the emergencies.
Duncan has averaged 21 possessions since returning to the team in round 16, resuming his place as a key running member of the Cats' midfield.
