WESTERN Bulldogs forward Jake Stringer will miss a week after injuring the AC joint in his right shoulder on Saturday against Gold Coast.
Just seconds before the final break, Stringer was bumped by Suns defender Steven May and did not return to the field in the last quarter.
Western Bulldogs football manager Graham Lowe told westernbulldogs.com.au there was no major concern but Stringer had been ruled out of Saturday night's clash with St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.
"The scans have come back and cleared him of any serious ligament or bone damage," Lowe said.
"Based on the information we've got today, we're optimistic that Jake is going to be in a position to be available for selection next week against Geelong."
However, ruckman Tom Campbell will be out indefinitely after a stress fracture in his heel.
"He's going to be in a CAM boot [also known as a moon boot] for the next three weeks, and once he comes out of that CAM boot, we'll assess him with a view to determining a timeline for his return," Lowe said.
Tom Liberatore will face a fitness test this week while Nathan Hrovat will be available for selection after shoulder surgery.
