Gorringe has had a difficult three seasons with the club, being limited to just 19 games after a long-term Achilles injury.
Taken with the 10th pick of the 2010 National Draft, Gorringe resisted the temptation to return home, despite enquiries from both South Australian clubs.
In the back-half of the 2013 season, he formed an important part of the Suns' big-man contingent following a season-ending knee injury to Zac Smith and a nagging ankle problem for Charlie Dixon.
Gold Coast list manager Scott Clayton paid credit to Gorringe's manager Marty Pask for helping to facilitate the multi-year deal.
"We always planned for Daniel to continue his AFL career on the Gold Coast and we look forward to watching him continue to develop," Clayton said.
Gorringe told the Suns' website he was excited to stay on board, and hoped to have success in the next two years.
Gorringe is one of 13 Suns to recommit this season.
He joins the likes of Jaeger O'Meara, Dion Prestia, Rory Thompson, Trent McKenzie, Seb Tape, Jack Martin and Smith in extending their stays.
