THE AFL has announced there will be no price rise on general admission tickets for the 2013 home and away season.
For the fourth year in a row, an adult ticket to the football will cost $20, a concession ticket $12, and a junior ticket $2.50. A family ticket will cost $40.
AFL commercial operations general manager Darren Birch said the League wanted to keep general admission prices as affordable as possible.
"By holding admission prices for another year and, with children aged under 15 able to attend matches for just $2.50, we provide fantastic value for several hours of high quality and exciting entertainment," Birch said.
"Match-day attendance is a key element of our game and we want to encourage fans to experience the excitement of being there and seeing their favourite players battle it out on the field."
A total of 6,238,876 fans attended the 198 home and away season matches in 2012, down on the 6,525,071 for the previous season, which featured 11 less games.
Round one of the 2013 season starts on Friday March 22 with Adelaide hosting Essendon at AAMI Stadium.
