SYDNEY forwards Sam Reid and Gary Rohan remain in doubt for Saturday night's clash with St Kilda after both failed to train on Tuesday.

Reid had just three possessions against Greater Western Sydney in last week's derby win at Spotless Stadium after struggling with a tight groin throughout the match.

Rohan clutched his right hamstring after an attempt to chase down GWS defender Heath Shaw just before three-quarter-time, but after receiving treatment at the break, he returned to the field and played out the last term.

The speedy forward headed to the pool while the rest of the Swans' squad trained at the SCG on Tuesday afternoon, with Reid looking on from the boundary line.

Three more years for emerging Swan

If Reid doesn't come up for the Saints game, ruck-forward Callum Sinclair and impressive youngster Jordan Dawson could be in line to replace him. Kurt Tippett is also an outside chance.

Sinclair, who was an emergency for the senior game last week but failed to play in the NEAFL, has been in strong touch as a marking forward and around the ground since being dropped after the Swans' round 14 win over Essendon.

Dawson kicked four goals from 31 possessions and took 10 marks against GWS in the NEAFL last week, and has dominated the lower level since being dropped the week after he made his senior debut against Collingwood in round three.

The 20-year-old has averaged 28.7 disposals and 6.1 tackles from 10 games in the reserves, has kicked 25.15 for the season and sits third in the league's MVP award.

Given the Swans have gone with a more mobile forward line in recent weeks, Dawson could get another opportunity.

Tippett got through just over a half in the reserves last week in his first game back from an ankle injury, before leaving the game early in the third quarter with groin tightness.

The 30-year-old ran some laps and did some short skills work on Tuesday before leaving the track.

Senior players Josh Kennedy, Kieren Jack, Lance Franklin, Dan Hannebery and Heath Grundy were all given the session off, as is often the case earlier in the week, while youngsters Zak Jones, Tom Papley, Callum Mills, Nic Newman and Lewis Melican were also on light duties.
