WEST Coast has kept two key players off the AFL's 2016 free agency list, re-signing 2014 Brownlow medallist Matt Priddis and Chris Masten.

Priddis and Masten were due to become free agents at the end of this season but their names were missing when the AFL released its official list on Thursday morning.

AFL.com.au understands Priddis and Masten both recommitted to the Eagles on Wednesday, with an official announcement from the club expected shortly.

It is believed Priddis, who turns 31 later this month, has signed a new one-year deal, tying him to West Coast until the end of 2017, while Masten, 26, has agreed to a long-term contract.

Priddis has been a prolific midfielder for the Eagles since being elevated from the club's rookie list in 2006. 

A quiet achiever for much of his career, the stoppage specialist has stepped squarely into the spotlight in the past two seasons, following up his Brownlow win with a runner-up finish last year and his maiden All Australian selection.

After being taken with the No.3 pick in the 2007 NAB AFL Draft, Masten had a relatively slow start to his AFL career. 

But in the past four seasons the midfielder has been a consistent performer for West Coast, finishing seventh in both the 2012 and 2014 best and fairest counts, while he averaged 24 disposals in 22 games last season.

Masten will have a delayed start to the 2016 season after injuring his ankle in an intraclub game last month.
