The Carlton players have thrown further support behind the Club’s 2007 Membership campaign with all players purchasing a membership.
“We all support the membership campaign through promotions and decided we would go further in our support by actually purchasing a membership. We are part of the Carlton Football Club and along with all members we want to make this year the best ever for membership in the history of the Club,” said Lance Whitnall.
Carlton’s record membership was 33,534 in 2005 and with a few weeks remaining before the 2007 membership closes the figure for 2007 is just over 33,000 giving the Blues every chance of breaking the record.
The players lined up to sign up as members at the Carlton Membership counter next to The Carlton Shop at MC Labour Park prior to this morning’s training session. Much to the delight of customers in The Carlton Shop who couldn’t believe their eyes when the players walked through to Membership and indeed lined up through The Carlton Shop as they waited to sign up as 2007 Carlton Members.
“We hope this encourages supporters who have not yet become members to do so to ensure we not only break the record set in 2005 but we get over 34,000 members in 2007,” said Andrew Walker as he lined up to purchase his membership.
Carlton still has a further seven home games to play in 2007 and supporters can purchase or renew their membership online, call the Membership Department direct on 1300 72 79 81 or purchase in person at MC Labour Park.
