Alinta and Fremantle are holding a public sausage sizzle at 12.00pm on Thursday 10 May in the lead up to the Alinta Red Shield Appeal Match Day this Sunday.

Luke McPharlin and Brett Peake will be down from 12.30pm to lend a helping hand for the sausage sizzle, taking place outside of the Alinta Plaza building on St George’s Tce, Perth CBD.

A gold coin donation for the sausage sizzle is appreciated, with all proceeds going to The Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal.

Alinta Executive General Manager Energy Investments Ian Devenish said, “We’re pleased to support our partner The Salvation Army in raising much-needed funds for the Red Shield Appeal, with the help of Fremantle Football Club.”

“At Alinta we have a strong commitment to local communities and we urge everyone to help support the Appeal to help families and individuals in need.”

For the past five years Fremantle and Diamond Sponsor Alinta have supported The Salvation Army through the annual Red Shield Appeal Match Day.

With boucedown against the Hawks at 2.40pm, representatives from Alinta and the Salvos will volunteer their time to shake tins around the ground before the game. Fremantle members and supporters are urged to once again show their generosity in raising funds for this great cause with the hope of breaking the 2006 record amount of $16,706.30.

Over the past four years the Alinta Red Shield Appeal Match Days have raised almost $43,000 with all donations assisting the tireless work of the Salvation Army within the community by providing meals, clothing, shelter, crisis counselling and rehabilitation programs to so many in need throughout Western Australia.

Proud Sponsor Alinta uses their match day to help support The Salvation Army and encourages everyone to dig deep on the day so that together we can ensure the valuable work of the Salvos continues throughout our community.
