Adelaide v Richmond, Saturday, MCG
Brad Crouch (MID, $16,200): It's hard to see Crouch dropping away on the biggest stage after such a brilliant finals series that has seen him collect 124 in the first week and then back it up with 133 points in last week's preliminary final win for the Crows. He looks one of the top 'locks' as one of your midfield options after 15 triple-figure totals this year.
Sam Jacobs (RK, $13,200): The ruck battle will be an interesting one on Saturday, but Jacobs should have the edge over Toby Nankervis given his average of more than 100 for the season. Jacobs was one of five Crows to surpass 100 last week, gathering 105 points in a dominant display. He would be our ruck pick.
Matt Crouch (MID, $15,850): The All Australian midfielder just does not miss. Another 122 points last week, which means he has surpassed the 100-point barrier in nine of his past 10 games. In the other game, he got 96 points, which still isn't too shabby. Picked up 122 points against the Tigers in round six and loves the tough stuff, so will be in there early.
Tom Lynch (FWD, $12,750): You'd think the Tigers would find a way to keep Lynch out of the action more than the Giants and Cats have so far this finals series. Lynch is averaging 106 in the past two games and has been instrumental for the Crows. Averaged 90 in the home and away season, so a pretty sure bet.
Rory Sloane (MID, $15,150): The Tigers don't really have a go-to stopper, but if they do decide to utilise someone in that role, they'll probably be sent to Sloane. Sloane managed just 76 points last week in his return from a couple of weeks out after appendix surgery. He should be much better for the run, and despite his occasional lapses in form this year when tagged, we're backing him in for a big one.
Dustin Martin (FWD/MID, $15,000): From a Tigers perspective, it's impossible to start with anyone other than the Brownlow medallist. Particularly as last week Martin was down on his usual form, dropping to 88 points – the third-lowest score of his outstanding season. We'll let that slide, because he did spend a fair bit of time forward, and we're expecting more time in the middle this week. Back him in. He hasn't let us down yet.
Trent Cotchin (MID, $13,750): Some might think he's lucky to be playing, but we might be lucky to have him to choose from, because he's been in brilliant form. Cotchin led the Tigers for points last week with 106 – one of only two in the yellow and black to pass triple figures. If you can't quite afford Dusty, 'Cotch' is a reasonable back-up.
Kane Lambert (FWD/MID, $11,450): Bit of a weird one here considering some of the big names listed, but Lambert isn't the worst option. We can't fill our team just with A-grader players – that's not how the salary version of Draftstars works. Lambert has been a revelation this season, scored 98 in the Tigers' first final, another 76 last week, and comes at a good price.
Daniel Rioli (FWD, $8,800): Tempted to pick up Rioli after last week's heroics, when he kicked four goals to send Richmond into the Grand Final? Fair enough, but don't get your hopes up that he'll do it again. The odds say it was probably one out of the box for the exciting youngster, who scored 38 the previous game and averaged 52 for the season. But, if you're brave and he does it again, then you deserve the winnings.
Dion Prestia (MID, $13,150): Prestia could take on a tagging job, but even still his recent form has been good enough to suggest he'd be able to work through that to find a fair bit of the ball. Last week he gathered 83 points, the week before he had a team-high 128 points, and in the three games before that he averaged 101. That's a good run.
