Hawthorn Football Club has today accepted the resignation of Chris Pelchen, General Manager Player Personnel and Strategy.
Pelchen rejoined the Hawks in November 2005, this being his second stint with the Club. Throughout this period Pelchen oversaw the list and recruiting strategies, which included the Club’s premiership success in 2008.
Hawks CEO Stuart Fox extended his thanks to Pelchen for his contribution, who initially worked at Hawthorn 1989-1995 and most recently 2005-2011.
“In his two stints at the Club, Chris has worked alongside a number of coaches and football department staff, and has literally observed firsthand the careers of a couple of hundred individual players," reflected Fox.
"He has played a very important part in the Club’s rebuilding phase since 2005, and we are grateful for his contribution. We wish him all the best with his future endeavours.”
