MELBOURNE has delisted Daniel Nicholson and Mitch Clisby as it begins to prune its list post-season. 

Nicholson made his debut in round 10, 2011 after joining the club from University Blues via the rookie list. 

Nicholson played 32 games for the club with his most recent game being in round 15, 2014. 

He had good endurance and played as a running defender or tagger but his decision-making let him down at times and he only played one senior game in 2014. 

Mitch Clisby joined the club midway through the Demons' training camp in Darwin at the end of 2012 after being placed on the club's rookie list. 

From West Broken Hill and North Adelaide, Clisby performed well in the second half of 2013 playing eight consecutive games before being suspended for the final three games of the season. 

He battled injury early in 2014 and was not able to force his way into the senior team despite reasonable form with the Casey Scorpions in the VFL.

Melbourne coach Paul Roos declared after the club's final game that every player was potentially tradeable however the club has given no indication of which players are on the table.

Former high draft picks Sam Blease (two games in 2014), Luke Tapscott (three games in 2014) and James Strauss (zero games in 2014) are out of contract and may attract interest from other clubs. 

However it is the bigger names such as Jack Watts that are expected to be the subject of more discussion during trade period as the club attempts to strengthen its list.

Paul Roos will meet with unsigned and unrestricted free agent James Frawley on Wednesday but does not expect an indication from the 25-year-old as to whether he is staying.
