COLLINGWOOD midfielder Adam Treloar will meet with a specialist on Tuesday morning to learn the full extent of a double hamstring blow that is worse than first feared.
Treloar initially thought he had suffered cramps in both hamstrings before failing to return to the field late in Sunday's win over Carlton.

After heading for scans on Monday morning, Treloar spent close to two hours at Pies headquarters receiving treatment and looks set for a long stint on the sidelines.
Club president Eddie McGuire told Fox Footy on Monday night that if surgery is required due to tendon damage, Treloar could miss at least eight to 10 weeks.
This means a best-case scenario would see him return in round 23.
"We won't make any announcements until he's got the end of the full examination and he'll see a surgeon tomorrow. We believe one [hamstring] is worse than the other. If he needs to have surgery, probably eight to 10 weeks is optimistic, and we know what the pessimistic answer to that is [he will miss the season]," McGuire said.
"You're always fearful [Treloar will miss the season], but you're always hopeful as well. I'm hopeful it's a six to eight, or maybe an eight to 10 [week injury] at worst. That would be the best result, somewhere between six to 10, and if he needs to have surgery, then that's season over.
"I couldn't remember it in my time reporting and (club football manager) Geoff (Walsh) said in 30 years he couldn't remember it happening."
The 25-year-old instantly felt for both legs while lying on the MCG turf in agony, before heading to the bench where he completed run-throughs on the boundary.
"I got a scan just before on the hammies and (I'll) get a couple more opinions from a few people," Treloar said on Monday.
"It just felt like a cramp, that's why we're trying to suss out what's going on. I've never done a soft tissue (injury) or anything so I don't really know what's happened.
"(I feel) a bit sore obviously, it feels OK (today). I can't really compare it to anything else because I've never (done a hamstring). I'll find out in the next 24 hours I guess."
Treloar's injury opens the door for big-bodied midfielder Brayden Sier to potentially make his debut.
The 20-year-old has been starring in the VFL, playing nine of a possible 10 matches and averaging 24 disposals.
Half-forward Ben Crocker kicked five goals in the VFL Magpies' loss on Sunday, while Rupert Wills – who has played six games in two years – is another who could come into contention.
Collingwood travels to face Gold Coast this Saturday off a six-day break.
