THE RIOLI show is ready for launch, with Hawthorn star Cyril and his exciting Richmond nephew Daniel set to grace the field together for the first time in the NAB Challenge at Beaconsfield on Saturday.

The Tigers will field a powerful line-up after confirming skipper Trent Cotchin, Dustin Martin, Jack Riewoldt and Alex Rance will play their first matches this pre-season.

Daniel Rioli, the Tigers' first pick at No.15 overall in last year's draft, will play his second pre-season game, while big man Liam McBean, Jayden Short and Jason Castagna have been left out of the final squad.

The Hawks are rolling out another youthful team peppered with big names, with Shaun Burgoyne, James Frawley and Cyril Rioli making their first 2016 appearances alongside the likes of Jordan Lewis and Josh Gibson.

Premiership stars Luke Hodge, Sam Mitchell and Luke Breust have been rested and Jack Gunston (shin) is also not playing, while youngsters Jermaine Miller Lewis, Shem Tatupu and Lachlan Langford drop out of the 26-man squad.

Alastair Clarkson will get another look at the forwards pushing to replace injured spearhead Jarryd Roughead, having named James Sicily, Tim O'Brien and Jack Fitzpatrick after the trio faced Carlton last Friday.

Hawks draftees Kieran Lovell and Blake Hardwick will make their club debuts at Holm Park Recreation Reserve.

PORT Adelaide will play with just 25 players instead of the allowed 26, leaving Chad Wingard out of its side for the NAB Challenge match against Melbourne on Saturday.

The star forward missed last week's pre-season opener against the Sydney Swans and will play no part at Playford Alive Oval in Elizabeth due to hamstring tightness.

A Power spokesman confirmed to AFL.com.au that they expect Wingard to play in the club's final NAB Challenge match against Richmond on March 10.

Fringe Demons Viv Michie, Dean Terlich and Alex Neal-Bullen will miss out on a chance to stake their claim for a senior spot with the trio left out of Melbourne's 26-man team.

The club will get its first look at recruits Ben Kennedy and Tom Bugg, who joined the Demons from Collingwood and Greater Western Sydney last October.
