1. Jack Newnes (DEF/MID) $464,000
Newnes finished the 2014 season strongly, averaging 22 disposals and eight marks in his last six games at an average of 94. He is priced at an average of 82 and can be selected as a defender this year after gaining dual-position status. With not many top defenders to choose from this year, this future star might just be the saviour we are looking for.

2. Jack Steven (MID) $491,000
Due to heavy tags in several games last year, Steven’s average dipped to 86. However, with another year of experience under his belt, he will bounce back in 2015.
3. Nick Riewoldt (FWD) $516,000
Last year, Riewoldt's average dropped by 12 points but still finished on a respectable 91. He had some massive games of 168, 148 and 125 and has missed only one match in the past two years.
4. Tim Membrey (FWD) $165,000
After struggling to get a game with the Swans, Membrey is another player seeking more opportunities. He is a talented youngster who showed potential in his only game last year. A cheap bench option.
5. Blake Acres (MID) $166,000
Acres played three games last year for the Saints, wearing the sub’s vest in two of them. He presents as a good cheap bench option if he is injury-free.
