ESSENDON star forward Joe Daniher will play for the club's VFL side on Saturday as he returns from a calf injury.
Daniher is yet to play an AFL match this season, after managing just seven games last year due to osteitis pubis.
He sustained a kick to the calf at a training session in mid-March, which ruled him out of the first four weeks of the season.

The 25-year-old will be joined by AFL-listed defenders Matt Dea, Jayden Laverde and Brandon Zerk-Thatcher in Saturday's match against North Melbourne.
The trio are also on the comeback trail from injuries.
Dea strained the medial ligament in his knee at the end of February and will be playing his first match for the year, while Laverde and Zerk-Thatcher have both recovered from ankle injuries suffered in a VFL practice match last month.
